Last night Nancy mentioned that she's been here in California with me for ten years now. Actually, we moved her here in early September, but still.... Ten years. That's the longest I've lasted with anyone and it's been fairly smooth sailing. 1. The Melting Pot -- Cheese fondue and then hot broth to cook all kinds of yummy meat in and then...oh God, they have a new chocolate fondue called Dark and Dulce. 1. The Giants lost this evening, but they reactivated one of our key players off the DL (back problems) and he had a good game. Also, our bb rookie catcher is turning out to be pretty good. He'll be heading back down to AAA when we get our regular backup catcher off the 7 day concussion DL, but it was nice to see him up in the majors for a little ( Read more... )

Reading -- Only new thing I read this week was Mockingjay, which I've had forever and never read. I reread the first two and then finished the third off in one sitting. It wasn't bad. The Hunger Games is the strongest book, but this wasn't a completely unsatisfactory end to the trilogy ( Read more... )
